$5,000 Goal

The LGBTQ Center Long Beach is the oldest and largest health, wellness, and advocacy organization serving the region's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning community. Our services include LGBTQ affirming HIV/STI testing, mental health counseling, legal services, domestic violence services, youth and family services, senior services, transgender health services, career counseling, free cyber center, community library, and more than 15 weekly support groups.

Our LGBTQ community continues to experience disproportionately negative health, mental health, economic, and overall life outcomes. The Center services as a lifeline and safety net for LGBTQ residents of Long Beach and surrounding cities, providing support and resources that would otherwise be unattainable.

Many of The Center's services are unduplicated in the Long Beach region and serve as badly needed resources to clients from across the state of California. For example, The Center is only one of two LGBTQ-specific domestic violence service providers in Southern California and only one of two LGBTQ-specific legal service providers in the State of California. We are the only LGBTQ workforce development, senior services. and youth and family services provider in Long Beach and only one of two LGBTQ-specific mental health resources.

With a more than 40 year history in the community, The Center is one of the most respected, trusted, and relied upon LGBTQ organizations in Long Beach.
