Central Mediation Center

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to promote non-adversarial dispute resolution strategies and creative, empowering decision-making processes through interest-based mediation and facilitation services.

Central Mediation Center (CMC) is a private, non-profit corporation that provides mediation, facilitation, and conflict resolution training within a 35-county area in central and southwest Nebraska. The center is funded through grants, fees, and donations. CMC is one of six Nebraska community mediation centers approved by the Nebraska Office of Dispute Resolution under the auspices of the Nebraska Supreme Court. Any donations received assist CMC in providing mediation services for children and families relating to child welfare, custody, guardianship, and restorative justice.

Testimonials

The mediation process gives participants a chance to voice their opinions about their situation and to attempt to resolve things without the court system. As a lawyer, I have noticed that clients can be frustrated with the legal process and feel that they do not have a say in the process. Mediation allows them to have more control and develop an agreement that is specifically tailored to their lives and experiences. -Heather S.
