Centro de Apoyo Comunitario

A nonprofit organization

Centro de Apoyo Comunitario (CAC) has been operating for more than 20 years. It was established by Latin American women who wanted to create a safe space for immigrants to seek support and obtain accurate information. Centro's board, staff, and volunteers consist of more than ninety percent immigrants themselves, which demonstrates our community's values of reciprocity. We offer various services, including newcomer orientation, legal and medical referrals, advocacy and case management, and assistance with navigating the new community through our highly trained promoter team. Additionally, Centro conducts monthly community workshops to provide essential information on topics that the community needs. We also have a drop-in center to help with any needs that arise in the community.

CAC reflects a diverse Latin American community coming from over 15 different countries of origin. We will provide service to anyone in the community that needs it. In 2023 we served roughly over 1800 community members and the number has continued to grow. Over 70 percent of those seeking help have arrived in the area within the last 12 months, many learn of CAC within days and come to seek help. We are proud of the trusting relationship we have with the community and take seriously our responsibility to share updated, quality information.
