Carriage House Children's Center enriches the lives of children and their families by providing model child care and education through flexible, child-centered programs. To advance the mission, Carriage House Children's Center will provide high-quality, affordable child care and education for children of diverse backgrounds and their families and support an outstanding staff by providing a working environment that offers competitive compensation, professional development and continued training.

The Infant-Toddler Program provides 12-months full day care. Children are divided into the following age groups: Infants, Older Infants, Young Toddlers, Toddlers/Twos, and Twos/Threes. Infants and Toddlers learn through play and sensory experiences. Teachers respect the children's whole-body approach to learning and provide time, space, and safe and challenging things for them to explore. Teachers are guided in their interactions with children by the High/Scope curriculum and key experiences in infant/toddler development encompassing a variety of developmental areas including sense of self, social relations, movement, creative representation, communication and language, exploration, and early logic. Teachers collect anecdotes about the child's development in each of these areas, use these observations for planning, and share the observations with parents daily and in parent conferences.

The Preschool Program is divided into a school year session and a summer camp session. The school year begins in early September and ends during the last week of May. Summer camp operates during June, July and August. Both half-day and full-day programs are available. Children are grouped by age and there is usually a full year's age range within a group.
