Chestnut Ridge Historical Society

The Chestnut Ridge Historical Society is dedicated to collecting and preserving the oral and written history and artifacts of a portion of the Laurel Mountains that is known as the Chestnut Ridge.

The research facility contains: church records, cemetery records, family histories, obituaries, atlases, county histories, town histories, school yearbooks, school records and scrapbooks. The museum contains: photos of the Chestnut Ridge area and it's individuals,schools & class photos,veterans records & photos, pension records, Cook Twp. Justice of the Peace Records 1874-1952 ,local business records,undertaker records. These are to name but a few of the items that are in the research facility and museum. The collection of items is constantly growing.
