Children First Foundation

To enhance fulfillment of the academic, physical, social, and emotional needs of underprivileged children

The Children First Foundation was founded in 2012 as a 501-C-3. It exists to eliminate the barriers to education and success amongst poor, handicapped and homeless students. The Foundation serves the Children First Leadership Academy, Sequoia Deaf School, Sequoia Elementary and Secondary Schools, along with underprivileged and homeless students within Edkey's other schools. Each Foundation school offers a rigorous and nurturing experience with high expectations and provides high-caliber, comprehensive array of services including academics, health, dental, behavioral health and supportive services to prepare students to be lifelong learners, leaders and productive citizens. In addition, through solid partnerships with Phoenix Children Hospital and Community Dental Clinic our children receive medical l and dental services on site when needed. We also provide school uniforms, clothing and shoes to all of our children when needed. Parents can also get food boxes and clothing if needed at anytime. Many of our students at Children First Academy and Sequoia Elementary are one or two grades behind when they com to us. We provide additional resources such as Lexia and Playworks to bring them academically and socially to their grade level.

Many of our parents express their gratitude on a regular basis to our staff and teachers for offering many supporting services to their children. Also, our bus routes are very generous; we transport children to and from school from very far distances on a daily basis.
