The Children's Park of Tyler is a special place created to support families as they navigate the heart-wrenching journey of losing a child. Our vision is that no one would grieve alone, and our mission is to comfort those mourning the loss of a child as they process and find purpose through their grief.

Some of our programs and events include:
• Grief Support Services: We offer groups for adults mourning the loss of a child of any age, including during pregnancy
• Way to Remember: From personalized engraved stones to planted trees, we provide meaningful ways to keep a child's memory alive
• Meaningful Events: We host a variety of events throughout the year, designed to bring the community together. Each one is designed to strengthen the bonds of love and remembrance.

- Day of Remembrance- features a roll call honoring the children remembered along with a beautiful live butterfly release
- Mother's Day Retreat- provides a peaceful space for mothers mourning the loss of a child
- Remembrance Run- a community race honoring those we've lost
- Christmas in the Park- a magical evening filled with lights, music, and the spirit of the holiday season

Testimonials

Luci's Story: In 1951, my grandmother gave birth to her 3rd child, a baby girl born with spina bifida. Six weeks later, the baby died. For Christmas in 2004, her children & grandchildren gave her an engraved sidewalk stone to honor the memory of her baby who died 53 years before. It is the most meaningful gift we could ever give her. After the stone was placed, I took her to The Children's Park to see it. It was the first time she had ever been there. She said that, when she was attending Hogg Junior High School in the late 1930s, she never would have dreamed that the "hole in the ground" just to the north of the school would someday become such a meaningful place to her.
