Christ Light of the Nations Catholic School

Many people are unaware that our school provides a much needed alternative educational opportunity to an under served part of the St. Louis community. The parish boundaries cover a geographical area of more than 20 square miles, ranging from the northeastern portions of St. Louis City, through the northeast section of St. Louis County, along the Mississippi River and up to its boundary with St. Charles County at the Missouri River. As a result, our student population is a very diverse community and we embrace the opportunities we have to learn from each other. Our school is a small, close knit community, and we are very resourceful! We integrate STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Math) into our curriculum in order to provide a well-rounded education to our students, as well as to foster an environment that cultivates innovation and inclusiveness. Recent improvements include our PTO's fundraising efforts to provide technology in all of the classrooms via Promethean boards and iPads, as well as our faculty members applying for and winning grants to create our "Maker Space," a DIY classroom where students gather to create, invent and learn. This year our school's motto is "Stop! Think! Change the World!" and now we are challenged more than ever to live that in our community during the Stay-At-Home order. Our faculty and staff are working hard to keep our scholars moving forward with their learning during this unique moment in our history, and they have relied on our technology to aid in that effort. We are so grateful for all that they do for our CLN school family!
