Together We Keep City Park Thriving

Caring for 1,300 acres of beauty, history, and green space is no small task.

From maintaining ancient oaks to preserving beloved attractions like Storyland and the New Orleans Botanical Garden, City Park is more than just a park — it’s part of our daily lives and shared memories. It’s where families gather, neighbors connect, and visitors from around the world experience the magic of New Orleans.

It takes all of us. With limited public funding, your support is vital to keep cherished spaces accessible, maintain trails and playgrounds, and create unforgettable experiences for all.

We simply couldn’t do it without you. Make your gift today and enrich strengthen City Park’s role as the Heart of New Orleans.

A Place Like Nowhere Else

A legacy. Over 170 years of history, and home to the world's largest grove of 800+ year old mature oak trees

  • A destination. Welcoming over 16 million annual visitors, and hosting more than 1,300 sports facility rentals each year.
  • An escape.  Home to 2,000 varieties of plants, and spanning more than 1,300 acres.
  • A treasure. A center of beloved traditions, and lovingly cared for by over 2,000 volunteers.
  • A place like nowhere else. In a city like nowhere else. Where generations of New Orleanians have come to play, relax, explore, and connect.

Voices In Community Support

“City Park’s athletic facilities have been integral in our nonprofit organization’s ability to scale our community impact. We started with 40 kids playing soccer in the Park in 2019, and now we serve over 10,000 youth from more than 22 zip codes each year. City Park has been an incredible community partner.” - Lowrey Crews, Founder of 18th Ward Sports

“Collaborating with the Native Plant Initiative and City Park on the revitalization of the Big Lake Native Trail has been meaningful, as I've gotten to see our work's impact over the years on the people, plants and wildlife populating the park.” - Jennifer Prout, Volunteer, Landscape Horticulturist
