Cleft for a Cause

Our mission is to raise funds to provide necessities for children in need of cleft-palate reconstructive surgeries. We donate 100% of proceeds to the David Hoffman Memorial Fund, a foundation set up by the Cleft & Craniofacial Team of New Orleans to provide funds for expenses for patients and families. These expenses may include cleft-palate reconstructive procedures, dental implants, money for gas, hotels, picnics, teen lunches, and other costs suggested by the Cleft Team.

Cleft for a Cause was founded in 2013 by Hannah and Isabella Summersgill. Isabella, now 18, was born with a bilateral cleft palate and can relate to any child going through the same long and hard process. The cause is very dear to us, and as sisters, we want to make the process just a little bit easier for another family.

To date, with the help of many generous supporters, we have raised over $85,000 for cleft patients and their families in the Gulf Coast area. We could not be more thankful to be able to support such a worthy cause, and we hope you will join us in our journey.
