COAST strives to provide St. Tammany Parish seniors with services in order to maintain & enhance their quality of life, independence, & involvement in the community .

COAST is a private, non profit corporation, which serves St. Tammany Parish residents age 60 & older. Most services are offered at no cost. Donations are accepted & greatly appreciated. The agency does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or handicap status in either employment or service provision. COAST serves as the Area Agency on Aging for St. Tammany Parish. We offer through our "COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPT" the following services: CARE GIVER SUPPORT, INFORMATION & ASSISTANCE, EMERGENCY UTILITY ASSISTANCE, MEDICAL ALERT, ALZHEIMER'S CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM, LEGAL ASSISTANCE, HOMEMAKER PROGRAM, CHORE PROGRAM & INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE. In "ACTIVITIES & RECREATION DEPT" we offer ACTIVITIES/RECREATION, which is provided at our 7 Senior Centers located throughout St. Tammany Parish. In "NUTRITION DEPT." Midday meals are offered at the Senior Centers throughout the parish 5 days a week. They are available to any person 60 yrs. of age or older. In "TRANSPORTATION DEPT." we provide "FREE" transportation through STAR Transit for Seniors & elderly riders from 7am-2:30pm Mon-Fri. Each vehicle is handicap accessible & lift equipped.
