Cochise College Foundation

A nonprofit organization

The mission of Cochise College is to provide accessible educational opportunities that are responsive to a diverse population and lead to constructive citizenship, meaningful careers and lifelong learning. The mission of the Cochise College Foundation is to promote student success through scholarships, facilities development, and program support.

The top fundraising priority at Cochise College is our Senior Scholarship program, available for all Cochise County high school graduating seniors. It provides opportunity to students who may never have considered college and is part of a broader initiative to enhance student success and completion and to advance competitiveness of the workforce.

Cochise College provides post-secondary general education programs for university transfer in administration of justice, business, communications/journalism, cybersecurity and computer information systems, education, engineering, exercise science, healthcare/nursing, liberal arts, mathematics, physics, science, and social science. Many students pursue technical training in areas such as agriculture, automotive technology, aviation, building construction technology, culinary arts, electronics, emergency medical technician, fire science, logistics, paramedicine, residential construction technology, respiratory therapy and welding. The college foundation primarily works with donors who wish to support students with scholarship funding. Donations are also accepted in support of equipment, professional development for faculty, and facilities development.

Testimonials

"My Cochise College education has taught me that no matter where you come from or who you are, what matters is the person you want to become." -- Vianey Durazo, Willcox

"I come from a single-parent family, so the idea of continuing my education can be scary. The scholarships I have received have helped me pay for my education." -- Luis Dominguez, Douglas

"I am currently a first-year Cochise College nursing student. I am a single working mom of a 2 year old. My scholarship is not only helping me further my education and decrease my financial burden, but it helps me continue to work toward giving my daughter the best life I possibly can." -- Tina Townsend, Sierra Vista
