Growing Garden Cities

A nonprofit organization

Growing Garden Cities mission is to build relationships and provide nutritious options by planting gardens in underserved communities. We provide fresh produce to those in need at no charge by encouraging our neighbors to responsibly work alongside garden cities' volunteers contributing to the sustainability of each location.

We create community garden spaces that allow children, adults, and families to experience the physical, social, mental, and spiritual benefits of gardening. Our focus is on underserved communities-defined as those facing barriers to access fresh produce due to transportation, physical, financial, or locational challenges. Through our programs, we provide gardening education, raise awareness about healthier lifestyle choices, and promote overall well-being. We collaborate with local businesses, schools, churches, nonprofits, and neighbors to identify areas of need and maximize available resources. Our programs include D.I.R.T.Y. (Doing It Right Through Youth) and Veggiecation, which offer hands-on gardening workshops to empower and educate.
