Community Out-Reach Mission

Community Out-Reach Mission strives to glorify God by being faithfully committed to assist in meeting the needs of people in the Longview area by providing food, clothes, assistance to pay rent or utilities, and other basic living needs.

Community Out-Reach Mission in Longview is a non-profit organization. We are staffed entirely with volunteers. Our motto is "Christians Involved in Service For God". The Mission has been helping families within the community for over thirty-five years. We were established in 1988 by Ruby Canida, Idean Dade, and Johnnie Johnson. These women had a vision to render services for those in the community who were in need. As the vision was when the Mission was created, it is the same today.

The Mission is committed to supporting the elderly, single parent household and people who are on limited federal assistance. When clients come to the Mission, they can receive food and select needed clothing from our community closet. Financial assistance is provided for utilities or rent when funds are available.
