Corningworks

A nonprofit organization

CORNINGWORKS is dedicated to creating provocative & accessible world-class dancetheater works that address issues of relevance to our greater society. CORNINGWORKS has 4 primary goals: To present high-quality, world-class, accessible dancetheater work -To create links among diverse cultures, races, and generations -To build awareness and provide an alternative forum for dialogue covering social and civic relevance -To provide affordable access to our performances

CORNINGWORKS enhances the vibrant cultural landscape in Pittsburgh by producing 2 major annual world-class dancetheater productions and accompanying outreach activities. Distinct from a single art form, dancetheater provides multiple channels for individuals to make discoveries about the human condition. Dancetheater is thus best defined by diversity - in audience, in format, and in viewpoint. CORNINGWORKS is a vehicle for the multi-disciplinary productions, which combine sophistication, clarity of theatrical concepts, visceral choreography, and dynamic musicality. With a seasoned and passionate voice, Corning along with renowned collaborators, explore and expose captured glimpses, and startling slices of the human condition.
