Who We Are

First, the good news. In spite of being hit hard at the beginning of this crisis, Crotched Mountain has seen no new resident cases of the Coronavirus in several weeks! And, we are planning to slowly resume many of the crucial programs that had to be suspended due to the pandemic.

Now, here’s the immediate need that we are asking for your help – support to purchase expensive, life-saving Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While we have been working hard to secure PPE and funds from a variety of sources, including the State of New Hampshire, the Federal government, as well as individuals and businesses donating masks and other items, these sources alone do not provide Crotched Mountain’s ongoing need for significant PPE.

We are supplementing our supply by purchasing PPE, most often at hugely increased prices. Gowns, for example, used to cost about 25 cents. Now, we are lucky to find them for $6 a piece. And we need thousands of gowns and other PPE over the next two months alone. Combine this significant expense with the lost revenue from suspended programs, and you can see how crucial your support is at this historic moment for Crotched Mountain!

Please give what you can to help us purchase essential PPE. We understand that these have been difficult times for many of our supporters and friends. Any size gift helps us continue to provide our direct-care staff with the PPE they need.

Our frontline staff are nothing short of heroic. They continue to bring their compassion and expertise to some of the most vulnerable among us. They deserve our support.
