Culpeper Christian School exists to please the Lord Jesus Christ and to train students by working with the home to build academic excellence on the Word of God.
Culpeper's oldest and largest private school, Culpeper Christian, began in 1976 with three wiggly boys and a kindergarten teacher with a heart of gold. Today, 40 years and thousands of students later, CCS families still enjoy the services of over 30 staff members who share the same mission that has always been the heartbeat of CCS: To train students by working with the home to build academic excellence on the Word of God.
Set within a picturesque campus of over 11 acres in a quiet corner of the Town of Culpeper, CCS offers area families something entirely unique, wonderfully special, and decidedly effective - spiritual and serious academic training in a professional, school environment. Led by qualified and committed Christians within a warm and friendly setting, students in grades preschool through eighth are provided with everything they need to be successful in this life and the one to come.
CCS preschool and kindergarten provide children with a gentle yet intentional introduction to school as they learn letters, numbers, positive social skills and manners, begin to write, and acquire the foundation for a lifetime of reading. One of the things CCS does differently is to teach phonics thoroughly through the A Beka Christian Curriculum. Phonics provides students with a set of skills that they take with them for life, one that enables them to sound out new words, enrich their own vocabularies, and effectively communicate.
Bible also is taught in an age-appropriate and creative way within every grade level, while students learn to sing Christian songs and openly celebrate the Lord Jesus in holidays like Christmas and Easter or Resurrection Day. Students in elementary and middle school grades enjoy PE, art, and music classes weekly. Extra-curricular athletic opportunities currently include basketball, volleyball, soccer, and disc golf.
Finally, take a few moments and imagine the education you always wished you had. And, as a Christian, imagine the central role that the Lord Jesus, His Word, and spiritual transformation would play in the midst of that accumulation of useful knowledge and development of skills and creativity. That is the vision, and, ultimately the mission of Culpeper Christian School: To train students by working with the home to build academic excellence on the Word of God.
We cannot say enough positive things about Culpeper Christian School. We have a daughter and a son in school at cCS. They have both attended since their k3 years at CCS. This school challenges kids intellectually and spiritually. We have seen so much growth in our kids and their faith. The staff is caring and always willing to go that extra mile for each and every student. We love our CCS family and we could not imagine a better school for our children.

We chose CCS for Pre-K through Kindergarten for our first child because of the small class sizes, quality Christian teachings, and loving teachers. In those initial years we ended up loving the school so much that we could not imagine our kids going anywhere else. We now have our second child in K3 and our oldest in 1st grade and both are so excited to go to school. They are thriving academically, spiritually, and socially and that is in large part due to this school, it's Christian Education, and it's kind, loving staff and teachers who pour into our kids each and every day.

The CCS family is an extension of a Christian home. CCS not only educates our children, but teaches them Godly characteristics and values. We have been blessed beyond measure to have teachers who love the Lord and love their students.
~Anthony & Christina, parents of four CCS students
When we enrolled our oldest child in the K4 preschool program, we had no idea that CCS would have such an impact, not only on our daughter, but our entire family. After her first year, we knew CCS would be our "forever" school home. The teachers are so loving, caring, and attentive to each child's need. When we drop our children off in the morning, we know they are in a safe environment, being taught at a high level of academic excellence, and encouraged in their love of the Lord. CCS is truly a blessing to our family.
