They made me feel like family from day one. At first I was unsure about what I was getting myself in to. I mean, an Army guy getting involved with a bunch of Marines? I wasn't too hip to the idea. It took me a good minute to even pick up the cell phone and reach out to these brothers from another mother. Once I did, I didn't feel the least bit sorry for doing it (reaching out). Little did I know that the two founders Ray and Javi were blessed with the gift of gab. What I mean is, that they have a way of reading the good in people. For what it's worth, to me, this organization employs guardian angels. It's was what I needed, when I needed it most. The Diving Devil Dogs will always have my gratefulness and my expectation that they will not stop "fighting the good fight" for those in most need. Thank you for who you are and what you do.

I attended events hosted by the Diving Devil Dogs, everything from Scuba Diving, homeless services and the Ranch weekend event. It doesn't matter what this group is doing, they are outstanding in every aspect of their service. There is a sense of community and the brotherhood they talk about is definitely in full affect. Connecting with this group has been one of the best experiences of my life.
Thank You!

Taking care of our US veterans is a noble and necessary social responsibility. The existence of this organization reminds us that there are those who care and are committed to providing support to veterans and their families. Thank you, Ray Bennett and Javier Rosa, for what you do. Project Humanities is honored to have you as a community partner and friend.

This is an amazing organization that is there to serve our often forgotten. Thank you, Ray Bennett and Javier Rosa, for what you do. Thank you for embracing veterans and for extending a helping hand to those afraid to be part of/involved in community. Thank you For leading by example what it is to be family and care for one another. You have been there for my husband and I feel fortunate he has discovered and joined forces with this organization. He considers this family. Thank you for all you do!!!!

I was introduced to the Diving Devil Dogs on my walk across America for Veterans. They invited me to go with them on various outings to serve the community and to visit Cold Creek Ranch where Veterans from all over the country were getting together for the weekend. I have seen and met with many organizations on this walk and these Veterans are by far the best humans I have come across in a long time. Their sense of community and willingness to help one another is a bar that is set high for others to follow. I hope to see and help them in any capacity soon. Even though it was a brief visit, the friendships formed will last a lifetime. If you are in the Arizona area, please look them up!

For a few months now, I have participated in a homeless outreach program known as Service Saturday with the Diving Devil Dogs. We arrive in downtown Phoenix at 6:45 A.M. every other Saturday to distribute clothing donations and water to the people living by the CASS shelter. The opportunity to interact with these people is heart-warming and I have brought a number of friends to help me. It is an eye-opening experience for anyone who has not spent considerable time with an underprivileged group of people. Diving Devil Dogs ensures that everyone is safe--both the people who are helping and those who we help--and I personally enjoy talking to the people who are beneficiaries of the service. There are many occasions where homeless people are not treated like fellow humans because of their conditions; the Diving Devil Dogs help these people as equals because equal is who they truly are.
