DreamSpring (formerly known as Accion serving Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas) is an award-winning, 25 year old nonprofit organization that increases access to credit, makes loans and provides a community of support to help entrepreneurs realize their dreams.

Serving Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina and Texas, DreamSpring is a pace-setting microlender with a reputation for innovation, accountability, and impact. DreamSpring has issued more than 16,000 loans totaling over $170 million to 660+ communities in the states we serve. We increase access to business credit, make loans and provide training to help entrepreneurs realize their dreams. DreamSpring offers small business loans ranging from $500 to $2,000,000 and empowers people to be catalysts for positive change - one small business at a time.

Our work is creating tangible economic impact, with an estimated 22,600 jobs created or sustained by client businesses in our 25-year history. In 2019, Charity Navigator rated DreamSpring a four-star organization for the ninth year in a row. Only 5 percent of charities in the nation have earned this distinction. DreamSpring is certified by the US Department of Treasury as a Community Development Financial Institution.

The story of Anthony Tubbiolo and his family is one example of how a loan from DreamSpring can transform lives and communities.

While working at a farmers' market stand and with only $212 dollars to his name, Anthony decided to take a risk and purchased a case of honey to sell. Later, sitting on the side of the road with a handwritten sign, Anthony sold the entire case. The next day he purchased two more cases, and the following day, a few more, and True Love Honey was born. Unable to find working capital, Anthony turned to DreamSpring. Today, True Love Honey has its own shop in Marana and can be found on the shelves of a growing base of Arizona retailers and farmers' markets like the one where the business got its start.

With his family by his side, Anthony loves the fact that his children are able to witness the positive outcomes of hard work and develop a mindset that anything is possible. He and his wife reflected on their young daughter, saying, "We know her future is going to be different than ours. She's going to grow up learning how to operate and run a real business, and that's an amazing head start." Anthony's vision to pay it forward and interrupt the cycle of poverty in his community is already coming to life, and True Love Honey is donating a portion of its monthly proceeds to support local child development causes in the community. "Looking at the trajectory of our lives before this business, we had very limited prospects," Anthony said. "Now, it's unlimited."
