In 2022, Easterseals Louisiana supported over 8,000 families across the state. We strive to offer the best services and programs available to assist children and adults with disabilities achieve independence in their lives and their communities. We change the way the world defines and views disability by making profound, positive differences in people's lives every day and by helping our participants build the skills and access the resources they need to live, learn, work, and play in their communities. Our primary services include the Autism services at the Chartwell Center, Support Coordination Services for Infants & Toddlers, Children, Adults, and Seniors, Behavioral Health Services, including Rapid Re-Housing & Transitional Housing, System Point of Entry (SPOE)/Early Development Screening, and Campership.
This year, we are designating all of the money raised on GiveNOLA Day to provide our Rapid Re-Housing participants with basic household supplies and personal items. This includes basic hygiene items, beddings, laundry baskets, furnishings, and so on.
Our Rapid Re-Housing program is a crucial service that helps people experiencing homelessness, including those with mental health challenges, find a safe and stable place to call home. Through case management and rental assistance, we are able to provide individuals and families with the resources they need to reach their fullest potential. The Housing First approach recognizes the importance of providing immediate access to housing, without requiring participants to meet certain criteria.
By donating to our Rapid Re-Housing program, you can help us continue to provide supports to those in need and make a meaningful impact in their lives. Your generosity will ensure that more people can experience the stability, security, and hope that comes with home.
