East Texas Crisis Center

A nonprofit organization

The East Texas Crisis Center (ETCC) provides comprehensive, trauma-informed services to survivors of family violence, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and human trafficking across Smith, Henderson, Wood, Van Zandt, and Rains counties.

Our mission is to provide safety, shelter, education, and advocacy, restoring dignity and purpose while promoting public awareness to reduce violence in our communities. We serve survivors of all genders, ages, and backgrounds, ensuring care is survivor-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based.

At ETCC, we believe that every survivor deserves to be safe, heard, and supported. Through emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, hospital accompaniment, legal assistance, and community programs, we:

  • Protect survivors from immediate danger
  • Support long-term healing and stability
  • Empower survivors to regain control over their lives
  • Hold offenders accountable through community and system-level interventions

We are committed to ending cycles of violence and fostering a community where survivors can thrive. Because when survivors are supported, entire communities are stronger.

The East Texas Crisis Center stands by survivors.
