To provide safety, shelter and education to victims of intimate partner violence, family violence, sexual assault and other violent crime and to restore dignity and purpose in their lives while promoting public compassion and awareness to reduce violence in the community.

Since 1978, the East Texas Crisis Center has worked to provide HOPE to survivors. These efforts are made by providing emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, support groups, and doing whatever it takes to meet their needs. With your support, the East Texas Crisis Center is able to continue to keep survivors safe, help them move toward a path of healing, and work to end violence in our community.

The ETCC provides residential and nonresidential advocate and counseling support. In 2023 the ETCC served five counties taking 3,956 Emergency Hotline calls. There were 1,297 survivors and 22,233 direct client services provided. With 967 survivors in Smith County| 201 in Henderson County | 69 in Wood County | 52 in Van Zandt County | 8 victims in Rains County.

Our center provides a progressive intervention program for individuals who have battered their partners or been violent in their relationship. The Violence Intervention Network program holds these individuals accountable for their violent behavior while promoting change to healthy communication and coping skills.
