Equine-Assisted Therapy

A nonprofit organization

We serve people with disabilities, from the very young to the elderly. These may include people with Downs, autism, muscular diseases, or dementia. We serve stroke victims re-learning speech and physical agility, victims of emotional abuse soothed by interaction with horses, and first-responders and veterans with PTSD. We also serve elderly able-bodied people who wish to improve core strength and agility.

We offer four types of programs:
EQUINE-ASSISTED ACTIVITIES: structured classes that provide a source of hope for people with mental and/ or physical disabilities through riding, horsemanship and horse care. We provide over thirty classes per week at our two locations.
SILVER SADDLES: able-bodied Senior riding classes which focus on both physical strengthening and technical riding skills.
FIRST RESPONDER/VETERANS PROGRAM: facilitates a bond between the veteran and horse via riding, groundwork and horsemanship, to help them overcome physical or emotional issues.
EQUINE-ASSISTED LEARNING: a group or individual education program that harnesses the power of relationship with the horse as a path to learning and growth. For example, a course may be tailored for a group of people with eating disorders, for at-risk foster children, for cancer patients, or for people with Alzheimer's.
