At Edgerton Explorit Center, every child deserves the chance to explore, discover, and dream big through hands-on learning. This year, your support can make a difference in three especially meaningful ways: restoring our beloved Raptorology program after a devastating fire, growing the Ken Wortman Trades Science Program, and helping more children attend summer camp.

Raptor Restoration Project
Our hearts were broken when a recent fire destroyed part of our raptor enclosure and claimed the lives of three of our long-time education ambassadors. These birds were more than program animals—they were beloved members of our family and powerful teachers for thousands of children and adults across Nebraska. As we grieve that loss, we are also committed to rebuilding. Donations will help us create a new, safer enclosure and continue sharing the wonder of raptors, conservation, and wildlife education with our community.

Ken Wortman Trades Science Program
We are also building the future through our Ken Wortman Trades Science Program, which connects students to skilled trades through hands-on, science-based experiences. From construction and plumbing to electrical systems and engineering, this program helps young people see the exciting possibilities in trades careers while learning the science behind how things work. Your gift helps us expand exhibits, outreach, and programming that inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and builders.

Summer Camps
Summer at Edgerton Explorit Center is filled with creativity, exploration, and unforgettable learning experiences. Our camps give kids the chance to dive into science, technology, engineering, art, math, nature, and more in a fun and welcoming environment. Donations help us keep camps affordable, provide scholarships for families, and make sure more children can experience a summer full of discovery.
