EFAC - Education for All Children

High school education is not free in Kenya. EFAC's Community Scholarship Fund is removing that barrier.

EFAC is a leader in the poverty-disrupting education-to-employment space, offering opportunities for young people in Kenya to continue their education beyond 8th grade, through college, and build a path to economic empowerment. Education For All Children (EFAC) was founded in 2008 by Nancy and Rod Van Sciver of Rye, New Hampshire and Prof. Leah T. Marangu of Kenya to address the pervasive opportunity gap in education. EFAC offers a comprehensive education-to-employment program that prepares the brightest and most vulnerable youth in Kenya for successful careers. The program provides holistic support by supporting their academic, leadership and life skills development. Eight years of scholarships for secondary and university education, skill-building workshops, service learning, and intensive mentoring, along with the critical services and tools needed to successfully transition into employment, are currently being provided for over 1,000 students through EFAC.

Who We Are

Education for All Children (EFAC) offers a comprehensive education-to-employment program that prepares the brightest and most vulnerable youth in Kenya for successful careers by developing their academic, leadership, and life skills capabilities. Eight years of scholarships for secondary and university education, skill-building workshops, service learning, and intensive mentoring are currently being provided for over 400 students throughout Kenya. Without EFAC, none of our students would have continued their education past the 8th grade due to lack of fees for high school and beyond.
