English Language Learners of Arizona

ELLA's mission is to provide free, in-home English education to immigrant and refugee women fostering fluent communication skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking of the English language allowing for a deeper integration into American culture and society.

Our unique, in-home English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Program removes obstacles, such as transportation or childcare, to allow immigrant and refugee women living in the Phoenix area to receive an English education. ELLA seeks to serve those women that would otherwise be unable to attend EFL classes. Until our inception in April of 2018, no other program of its kind existed in Phoenix.
