Emanuel Community Center, Inc

Nestled in one of the highest-need communities in East Dallas, the Emmanuel Community Center is an all volunteer-led organization focused on providing essential services to those most in need. Each week hundreds of individuals are provided with fresh groceries as well as nutrition and health guidance .

Our Needs

ECC would like funds in order to engage the Old East Dallas community by developing a community space at 4319 San Jacinto Street, Dallas, TX. A community garden or dog park has been suggested through online discussions via NextDoor. The funds will be used to host planning events with the community regarding this lot, develop the property, and hire a Director of Community Outreach to ensure the space meets community needs. These plans are being developed with the assistance of The Real Estate Council. These funds will also allow ECC to continue operating a food bank in partnership with Crossroads Community Services and the NTFB.
