Eric Marsh Foundation for Wildland Firefighters

A nonprofit organization

Mission: In honor of our fallen 19 Granite Mountain Interagency Hot Shot Crew, we serve wildland firefighters and their families in line-of-duty deaths and PTSD support.

Giving Back Meaningfully
Currently, the Eric Marsh Foundation for Wildland Firefighters has paid out nearly $100,000 in line-of-duty injury and death benefits to the men and women who risk it all fighting wildland fires, and the families who support them.
Why It Matters
Every year, on average, we suffer 19 wildland firefighter fatalities while defending lives, homes and public lands. The challenges wildland firefighters and their loved ones face are multi-dimensional. Next of kin of wildland firefighters need emotional and financial support to move through their loss. Seasonal wildland firefighters are often young, many with very young families. Most of them receive no benefits. Often wildland firefighters live paycheck to paycheck. When tragedy strikes, your generous support means that a wife with small children at home won't have to worry about the details of her daily life while she is grappling with the initial stages of her own grief and her children's. She is able to pay rent, make her car payment and buy food for her children without worry. Your support makes a difference in the lives of our families!
