Educate - Through various outreach activities at schools, colleges and community events, we educate the public on proper rabbit care and the joy of having an indoor domestic rabbit.
Adopt - Our adoption team works to find homes for the 73 rabbits currently in our care. Over the last 12 months, 45 rabbits have been adopted into their forever home. In the first half of this year alone, 24 rabbits have been adopted.
Rescue - Since January, we responded to over 50 surrender and rescue calls, resulting in 13 new rabbits in our care. EARS has cared for hundreds of domestic rabbits from various backgrounds including abandoned, cruelty cases, and hoarding situations since 2013.
Shelter - Our shelter is committed to providing the proper care, including veterinary care and spay/neuter, while the rabbits await adoption to forever indoor homes. In the last 12 months, 43 rabbits came into our shelter. We are 100% no-kill.
We are a volunteer-run organization, relying on donations and proceeds from our fundraising events.
Expenses directly related to the care of the rabbits account for roughly 85% of our annual expenses.
