Faith In Action Outreach

Our mission is to share the love Jesus Christ by meeting the physical needs of our neighbors in Henderson County and the Cedar Creek Lake area.

We are a multi-faceted ministry with a primary focus on our food pantry and clothing closet, located in Malakoff, Texas. These two facets of our ministry are open on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. We serve an average of 100 households per week with food and clothing. We also work in conjunction with The Salvation Army of Malakoff to meet the needs of our neighbors when there is an emergency or crisis situation.
Additionally, we serve an average of 85 students during the school year with nutritious "Food for the Weekend" that they take home in their backpack each Friday.
We recently opened a new Day Resource Center in Athens that serves the homeless and those who are facing homelessness with free services such as showers, laundry facility, toiletries, food items, free lunch and snacks, internet access, and other assistance.
