Families Renewed, Inc.

Families Renewed is a faith based 501 (c) (3) charitable organization created in 2013 to help children and families in crisis.  Specifically, we help children and families who are homeless or in danger of homelessness, are suffering from self-harm or suicidal ideation, or are dealing with the aftermath of child abuse.

Our flagship initiative is under our self-harm and suicide prevention program called LifeBST (Life Behavioral Skills Training).  LifeBST is an evidence based comprehensive approach to the prevention of self-harm and suicide in our teens and young adults.  We currently have tremendous support from local mental health systems and mental health professionals.  Many mental health professionals are calling it a game changer in mental health as it pertains to the prevention of self-harm and suicide.  While we have financial needs for all of our programs, meeting the financial needs of our LifeBST initiative is our primary fundraising focus at this time.

At the core of Families Renewed is the mission to strengthen families.  The strength of a family has an undeniable impact on the physical and mental health of the children of that family.  We chose the three areas of our work because they are the three areas that negatively impact children and families the most.  Often, those three areas are at least loosely interrelated.  For example, the trauma of homelessness or child abuse often leads to the mental health problems later in life that can eventually lead to self-harm and suicidal ideation.

Families Renewed is committed to alleviating the suffering caused by these problems, and helping families avoid them in the future.
