Friendship Community Group

The FCG Mission is to: Strengthen the connective tissue of Friendship by encouraging neighbors' engagement with each other and with the neighborhood as a whole; Enhance the natural beauty, safety, and public health of Friendship; Preserve Friendship's architectural heritage and the aesthetic integrity of residential properties; and Support a progressive and engaged approach to promoting a thriving multicultural business and arts community along Friendship's borders.

FCG has two major projects:

* Support and maintenance of the Friendship Playpark on the grounds of the Friendship Montessori School at Friendship and South Graham. We just updated several pieces of equipment and also just replaced the entire play surface.

* Maintenance and Operation of the Baum Grove Parklet behind Aldi's at the intersection of Roup, Fairmont, and Harriet. This is a recent addition and we working now to upgrade the facilities.

FCG also conducts a number of special events throughout the year, including the Friendship House and Architecture Tour in September, the Friendship Yard Sale in the Spring, and F4, the Friendship Flower and Folk Festival, in May.
