Feed the Second Line is non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the culture-bearers of New Orleans. Our mission is to create a stronger safety-net for our city's culture and to create opportunity for those who make our city a culturally vibrant place. A stronger safety net for culture-bearers Job creation for culture-creators through gig work and other opportunities.

Get Lit Stay Lit - is an effort to get solar + batteries on local restaurants. This comes from Hurricane Ida experience.

Groceries for culture bearers - we buy groceries for 100+ culture bearer elders regularly. Giving them a shopping list to choose from. This helps them save money over time - fighting food insecurity and poverty.
The act of shopping also creates work for younger musicians, who we hire as gig workers.

Job Creation: beadwork commissions, photo shoots, videos, hurricane relief, and more - we help create work for culture bearers.
