FIRST REFORMED CHURCH

A nonprofit organization

$21,048 raised by 80 donors

We at First Reformed Church chose the MISSION to be "A Church for the City of Lancaster". We do this in several ways.

We provide two free meals per week to the needy serving more than 300 meals per week,

While people are on our campus for food ,we also have a prayer room where clothing and personal care items are available free of charge.

Our campus houses the weekly meetings of a Girl Scout troop, AA meetings and weekly services of a Haitian church

We gather for worship at 10:30 each Sunday , welcoming all who enter, as we are an Open and Affirming church

We have adopted a first grade class from Fulton Elementary school and provide school supplies, Christmas gifts, gloves, hats

each year

We provide free organ concerts every First Friday and welcome concerts by QuintEssentially Brass and the Harrisburg Gay Men' Chorus

WE are the oldest Church in Lancaster, founded in 1729 and originally worshiped in a Log church. In 1753 we built a Stone on the same site at 40 East Orange St,

that was gifted to us by James Hamilton in 1729 , In 1853 we used the stone from the Stone Church for the foundation of a new Brick sanctuary again on the same site, Mahy historic objects

from the Log and Stone buildings including the 1753 Organ Front and the 1783 Church bell were moved to the present sanctuary, We are very proud of our heritage and longevity except

when we face the costs of maintenance of our campus buildings. The money from the Extra-Give assists with repair and upkeep so that we can continue to serve the City of Lancaster
