Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival

The mission of the Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival is to faithfully portray classics of the Renaissance as well as produce other actor-driven plays. Each Renaissance performance incorporates Elizabethan staging practices, making these plays accessible and providing a unique learning opportunity.

Our performances and educational outreach enlighten our audiences and revitalize empathy. Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival is dedicated to offering exciting artistic opportunity and experience for residents of northern Arizona and visitors from around the world.

I attended the performance on Friday July 28th and was thoroughly entertained. I have never seen "Merry Wives" staged and it was a delight. The outdoor setting was perfect, the use of song before and at intermission, as well as throughout the show was well conceived and executed well.

The actors! The venue, the wardrobe! Everything was amazing and the play was one of the best renditions I've ever seen of Midsummer Night's Dream. What a great production of A Midsummer Night's Dream last night. We have been to many Shakespeare summer outdoor productions and this was one of the finest. Nice to have it in a tent and chairs are provided. The acting is top-notch with Puck really shining.

This is better acting then I have seen in Los Angeles. Do yourself a favor and GET TICKETS to every performance... If your service pup is attending these people make them feel right at home...

The acting quality was top notch and these tickets are easily worth twice what they are charging. There is no bad seat. It's a very intimate performance and the actors draw in the audience. They acting is so excellent that even if you struggle with old English their facial expressions and body language will have you completely engaged and abreast of the plot.

They perform rain or shine so dress appropriately, sleeping bags, blankets, hat's are all acceptable. Don't back out due to weather, [we] didn't and neither did the performers.
