Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust

Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust inspires to have you to fall in love with nature since 1963.

There's so much joy in being outside, in the forest, among the birds and critters. There's deep happiness when you can connect with people who love doing stuff outside just as hard as you do. And there's so much to learn, there's so much we still don't know!

At Flanders, we discover nature with you and bring you closer to it. All of you, all ages, all abilities, all backgrounds.

Especially children. We reach over 6,000 school-aged children each year. Give children the "opportunities to appreciate nature's wonders...inspiring lifelong learning about our natural world," isn't just restating the mission at Flanders, it is a wish for our children's future.

Flanders also help YOU to face the changes in the environment. Right before our eyes, we are seeing dramatic changes with storms, invasive species and erosion. Our up-to-date adult education and land trust programs and workshops helps us all gain science-backed knowledge, skills and strategies to become more resilient in face of climate change.

Come and walk the new 1/2 mile Accessible Farm Trail. It will accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, strollers and several people walking side by side without cars to dodge. Soon benches will be installed so you can linger.

Come also on May 16 to Flanders Festival: Celebrating America 250 as we acknowledge the role of New England farmers through our history. Be sure to sign up for our exhilarating Field & Forest 5K Trail Run/Walk on June 5. And don't forget to save August 30 for Summer Soiree, the treat of the season!

And now, it's Give Local. Please give generously--see the suggested gift levels which represent our real needs in 2026--and come join our family of friends from over 30 towns. We have generous matches thanks to the Salem Foundation and an anonymous donor who volunteers at Flanders like so many of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

For your gift of $ 100 and up, we will give you a complimentary annual family membership, which  gives you and your family access to our fun events at reduced tuition for courses and to our very popular summer camps. Our free trails are open year round, dawn to dusk for ALL to enjoy, regardless of membership status, and we hope you each take the opportunity this year to visit us to experience the peace, the beauty, and the invigoration of being outdoors in nature.

Come by and visit. We'll show you around.

Thank you for loving this beautiful world.
