Fort Ligonier

A nonprofit organization

To collect, preserve, research, exhibit, interpret and advocate the history and material culture of the 1758-1766 British-American fort and settlement.

Fort Ligonier offers a selection of special programs to enhance the existing school curriculum in Pennsylvania history for the time period of the French and Indian War. Programs are adapted to meet the needs of individual grades and include topics such as 'Can You Dig It?' to learn what archeologists have uncovered on the site; STEM to learn the science, technology, engineering and mathematics behind the construction of an 18th century fort; and 'Children at the Fort,' a hands-on program for pre-school and kindergarten students. Budget ranges depending on group size and program, approx. $500 - $3,500
