Forum for Equality

Forum for Equality is Louisiana's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) human rights organization dedicated to the establishment of a society free from discrimination and to the support of good government. We believe that the fastest and most efficient way to achieve our goals is through community organization, education, and constructive participation in the political process.

Are you interested in building community across Louisiana? Become involved with Forum for Equality as we work together with organizations and coalitions across the Pelican State to break down barriers and build up the LGBTQ+ community. From advocating at the State Capitol to creating new relationships, we would love to have you working to build a State of Equality here at home with us.

During the 2024 Legislative Session we were able to activate more people than ever - we made over 15,000 phone calls to activate our supporters, and sent out over 2,000 emails to elected officials. We know that this will be a long battle for our kids and our community. To activate more supporters, we need your support! Please invest in our work to make Louisiana a more fair and equitable place to call home.

Forum for Equality engages legislators, organizations, communities and allies across the state to ensure full lived equality for the LGBTQ+ community through coalition building, educational outreach, events, and programming.
