The
Foundation for Free Enterprise Education (FFEE) exists to provide young Pennsylvanians
with relevant, impactful education and skills that help them explore, create,
and sustain successful careers and lives that ultimately strengthen our
 communities and state.

Founded in
1979, FFEE is a 501(c)(3) educational foundation that operates three dynamic
youth education programs: Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW), The Stock Market Game (SMG), and the Speaker Series. These programs prepare Pennsylvania's youth for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st-century workforce. FFEE is a
past recipient of the prestigious Freedom's Foundation of Valley Forge's
National Award for Excellence in Economic Education.

Pennsylvania
Free Enterprise Week is an award-winning program that transforms the way high
school students understand business, careers, and the American free enterprise
system. Through hands-on experiences and real-world simulations, students gain
essential workforce skills that today’s employers value most—leadership,
teamwork, critical thinking, and resilience. PFEW broadens students’ career
horizons and equips them with the tools they need for long-term success. Each
year, more than 1,800 students take part in this life-changing experience,
joining a proud network of over 53,000 alumni built over 46 years. PFEW is
proudly endorsed by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Education and the Director of
the Bureau of Career and Technical Education.

The Stock
Market Game is an in-class program for students in grades 4-12. Students form
teams, research stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other securities, invest an
imaginary $100,000 in real time, and make trades as they compete against other
teams for the highest return on their initial investment. Through the game,
students learn about investing, the stock market, and financial literacy while
developing skills that will lead them to successful financial futures. SMG
served over 11,000 students in 2025.

The
Speaker Series program continues to grow and evolve, offering 125 career videos organized by the 14 National Career Clusters®. The newly
expanded and fully developed FFEE Career Exploration Workbook is now the heart
of the program, aligning with all PA Career Education and Work (CEW) standards
and incorporating new Personal Finance standards to help students build
essential life and workplace skills. The Speaker Series videos serve as
integrated career stories that support workbook content, deepening student
engagement and enhancing classroom instruction. A comprehensive Teacher
Resource Guide provides instructional support, standards alignment, and
planning tools to streamline implementation. With 17,000 views to date, the
program has been reimagined as a cohesive career exploration journey. The
Regional Programs page, featuring 100+ real-world opportunities searchable by
Pennsylvania county, helps students apply their learning through internships,
apprenticeships, scholarships, and more. The Speaker Series continues to expand
its reach and relevance across technical, trade, and emerging fields.
