Foundation for Sustainable Forests

The Foundation for Sustainable Forests protects and stewards working woodlands that serve the community in so many ways- supporting the rural economy through sustainable forestry, providing critical services such as clean air and water, and recreational opportunities for the public to enjoy.  As part of our commitment to the community, our conserved lands support rural jobs in the sustainable timber and land stewardship industries.   

Your gift to the Foundation for Sustainable Forests supports healthy forests and their watersheds, diverse ecosystems, and a sustainable rural economy.  In 2024, FSF conserved over 1,300 acres of forested land in northwestern Pennsylvania. These lands are now being stewarded using ecological forestry principles and are open to the public for recreational uses such as hiking, hunting, and nature study.  Your gift will support FSF in continuing this critical work through land protection, and in the direct stewardship of these newly conserved lands.
