Friends of Prompton State Park Inc.

The Friends of Prompton State Park is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion, preservation, and development of the lands in and around Prompton State Park. They are a group of like-minded individuals that draw from a variety of backgrounds within the local Wayne County community. The mission of the Friends of Prompton is to ensure that the park can offer the greatest opportunity to the widest range of members in our community and to continue to protect the natural beauty of the park for generations to come. 

We are participating in NEPA Gives with the hopes to raise enough money to purchase a 30" Walk Behind Field and Brush Mower to continue to keep our trails clear and safe for our hikers, bikers, disc golfers, fishermen, and boaters. We have had an increase in trail usage/disc golfers in recent years and with our organization being 100% volunteer, we are hoping to add a 2nd brush mower to our 20+ year old mower to have the ability to mow at both ends of the park simultaneously.
