Friends of the Dublin Public Library

The Friends of the Dublin Public Library is a non-profit organization which provides support to the Dublin Public Library. We sponsor special programs and events for the public, raise awareness of our wonderful little library, provide amenities and services as needed, and encourage community support for the library. 

The Friends of libraries are often the fundraising arm of a public library. As such, we are becoming vitally important in a climate of uncertainty. Public libraries may lose state and federal funding upon which they have relied -- services that allow small communities to share books (interlibrary loan), and to support enrichment programs previously free to libraries. 

It is also important to know that the Dublin Public Library does not charge for a library card, does not require Dublin residence, and does not charge overdue fees. Our library tries to live the words, Free for All.

Currently, we are hoping to add more museum passes for our patrons. Museums - and the arts - are equally challenged in terms of need for funding. The more we can support one another, the better for each of us as community members and learners!
