Friends of the Woodbury Public Library, Inc.

The Friends of the Woodbury Public Library is an all-volunteer grassroots organization dedicated to supporting the library. All funds raised by the Friends, including proceeds from The Book Cellar (our volunteer-operated used bookstore in Woodbury), directly benefit the library’s programs and services.

We fund, or supplement, many items integral to the library:

• Programs/lectures: arts, culture, technology, fitness, history

• Winter and summer reading programs for children, teens and adults

• Museum passes

• Children’s Department: baby book bags, kindergarten readiness (1000  Books Before Kindergarten) educational toys, animal visits, bean bag chairs, reading tent, new rug

• Teen department: tables and chairs

•  New technology: including an ADA compliant computer/keyboard

• The Community Services Council of Woodbury receives a free new holiday book, chosen by the library and paid for by the Friends, to distribute to every child they assist

• Staff training

While the library enriches our community, the Friends play a vital role in enriching the library. Please consider supporting us with a donation.
