Carnegie Center, Inc.

Carnegie Center, Inc. advocates and assists with the preservation and restoration of the 1903 Carnegie Building and interprets and educates the community, visitors, and all other interested persons and groups about the history and architecture of this National Register of Historic Places landmark.

Carnegie Center, Inc. has raised over $250,000 for projects including more than $100,000 for a replacement roof that saved the building before its 2012 renovation, over $80,000 to match grants for the building's restoration, and over $8,000 for the creation of a gasolier/electrolier made from antique parts to replicate the original 1903 custom-made fixture that had been replaced in an earlier remodeling project and over $5,000 for the repair and restoration of the Carerra marble tiles in the rotunda. Current projects include continued repair and restoration of the marble walls in the entry and the replacement of the original wooden floors that cannot be refinished. 

The 2026 Big Give goal is to raise $3,000 to restore the marble threshold/entryway at the front door of the Carnegie Building.
