Friends of the College of the Desert Library

To maintain an organization based at College of the Desert to share the members' enthusiasm for literature and libraries with the Coachella Valley community and to raise funds to donate to the COD Library to support student success.

We have three book sales annually with previously enjoyed books donated by community members. We are an all-volunteer organization with low operating costs which allows us to donate the majority of funds to the COD Library. In addition to the book sales, we hold our Annual Author Lunch and invite authors to present their work to our members and guests. We also have a book discussion group that meets monthly, the occasional "Book and Movie," and other events to promote literacy in the community and provide funds to the COD Library.
