Friends of the Texas A&M University Libraries

A nonprofit organization

The Friends of the Texas A&M University Libraries supports student and staff success through its efforts to help fund world class research collections, digital resources, exhibits, preservation, programming, and other activities of the University Libraries.

As the indispensable hub of discovery, learning and creativity, the Texas A&M University Libraries provides not only a myriad of resources and services for students, faculty, and scholars, but also the knowledge and expertise of librarians to navigate this information. To support these efforts, the Friends of the TAMU Libraries have been instrumental in funding the conservation of the Aggie Corregidor Muster flag and World War I Service flag, the acquisition of the six millionth volume in the Library, securing electronic equipment for patron checkout, funding the custom-made writing desks for the Book History Classroom and many other preservation and restoration projects as needed by the Libraries over the last 53 years.

Testimonials

"When a student visits any one of the University Libraries, whether virtually or in person, they are receiving the best resources available." Cindy Craigen '88, Past President of the Friends of TAMU Libraries
