We champion free public access to information, resources and opportunities for all people. 

We help bridge the funding gap between what the City provides and the cost of additional programs, resources and services valued by San Franciscans. We envision the future of the Library as exceptional centers of the 21st Century literacy, economic opportunity and community life, with welcoming access to arts, culture and self-discovery.
