Congregation Gates of Prayer

Congregation Gates of Prayer is a robust and vibrant Reform Jewish Synagogue located in Metairie, Louisiana. Our mission is to help members of all ages find Kedusha, or holiness within their lives, through worship, lifecycle events, educational and social programs, and social action that reflect our enduring commitment to Torah (lifelong Jewish education), Avodah (worship of God through prayer and observance), and Gemilut Chasadim (the pursuit of justice, peace, and deeds of loving-kindness).

With the rise of active shooter events and religiously motivated crimes all over the country, we must ensure our security program remains funded to properly respond to emergencies and continue implementing new security strategies to keep us, our building, and our sacred texts safe.

Security coverage costs approximately $138,000.00 annually, and we need your support to help to ensure we can maintain the necessary level of security in the future.

- 1 Brotherhood or Sisterhood Meeting: $90.00
- 1 Morning of J-FLEx (religious school): $135.00
- 1 Shabbat Service with Oneg: $180.00
- 1 Holiday Event with Two Guards: $360.00
