Greensburg Civic Theatre

The primary purpose of Greensburg Civic Theatre (GCT) is to serve the Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Southwestern Pennsylvania community and beyond through the staging and presentation of dramatic plays and works, to present opportunities for amateur as well as aspiring professional actors, directors, and other theater technicians to explore their talents within.

This is our adult amateur theatrical program in residence at Greensburg Garden & Civic Center. We produce one musical and two plays each year, with each show having a minimum of three performances. Casts and crews are made up of community volunteers with a modest stipend paid to directors, musical directors and choreographers (as applicable). Board members generally serve as crew chairpersons to better coordinate the work of each committee. These committees cover everything related to staging a show, from play selection to set construction, costumes, props, lighting, sound, box office, marketing and more!
