Our Mission

Girls inc. of San Antonio's mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. The organization equips girls of all income levels to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers to grow up healthy, educated, and independent.  Our vision is to address the needs of the whole girl. We believe that a stronger, more sustainable future requires investing in girls. Girls Inc. is committed to creating a world where every girl values her whole self, discovers her inherent strengths, and thrives. 

Our Impact

We serve over 3,500 girls annually, with 65% from low-income households. Our vibrant mirrors the rich diversity of San Antonio, 86% of girls served identify as Latina, 6% African American, 5% White, 2% Multicultural, and 1% Asian American. Each girl is a testament to resilience, and untapped potential.

Who We Are

Since 2004, Girls Inc. of San Antonio has worked across the community to inspire all girls between the ages of 5 - 18 to be strong, smart, and bold. We provide services to all girls in Bexar County; however, we focus on those girls who need us the most - girls from underserved communities. Girls Inc. provides safety net services for low-income families through our discounted, high quality programming, including meals and snacks, transportation, and emotional support. While we equip girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers to grow up healthy, educated, and independent, we first ensure the immediate needs of our girls are met.
