We provide free veterinary care to any active duty or retired working dog; military, police, TSA, Board Patrol, search and rescue, etc.

Routine, emergency, chemotherapy, surgery, dental, wheelchairs, and more!

We also help rehome these heroes and transport them to their fur ever home.

Care packages are also sent to our deployed K9 teams upon request.

Who We Are

After a working dog retires, there is no official program set up like the VA that provides for their medical care. Our founder learned that first hand after adopting a retired military working dog named Gizmo, who she provided veterinary care to while on active duty in the Army as a vet tech.
Gizmo’s Gift was established in honor of Gizmo, and our mission is to provide completely free veterinary care to retired working dogs, such as military, police, TSA, Boarder Patrol, search and rescue. We also help reunite handlers with their prior working dogs, transport the retired K9 to their fur-ever home, and provide care packages to our deployed K9 teams
